DAILY UKRAINE REPORT ON CHICAGO’S WGN RADIO:
War Day 658: Why I Am Angry at Washington
🇺🇦 600+ DAYS OF WAR REPORTING on Chicago's WGN Radio with host Bob Sirott and reporter Joe Lindsley, the only American reporting in Ukraine every single day until victory 🎙️ from Wednesday 13 December 2023
Today's broadcast on WGN was interrupted.
Every single weekday of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, since February 24, 2022, I have made a daily report on Chicago's WGN Radio with host Bob Sirott. Now, in this moment when on the ground clarity is needed more than ever, I was unable to make my report today.
Russians have launched cyberattacks on Ukraine the past couple days, in addition to missile assaults on Kyiv and the usual atrocities near the front. I was unable to connect today to the radio station so this video is my response, not only to the Russians, but also to those in Washington who are unable to find their moral courage.
I think the Ukrainian issue is the first time in ages that Washington, DC, has encountered a real democratic spirit: not only people who absolutely refuse to surrender their freedom, but also politicians like Zelenskiy who actually represent those freedom-loving people.
Both Republicans and Democrats are afraid to give Ukraine what it needs to win, to defeat Russia. Each side blames the other, but they want their long-war defense dollars, they want never to have to make a difficult moral decision, and they still want some of the magic of Zelenskiy, because it's so rare they meet someone genuine, because they are fake.

Our Blood Proves Our Dedication – Maria Mezentseva
Maria Mezentseva, a member of Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, tells how she was one of the first to arrive in the houses of government when Russia launched its full-scale invasion. She explains why it is important not only for Ukraine to win but also for the free world to hold Russians accountable for crimes against humanity, a concept, incidentally, developed in the 1940s in the western city of Lviv.
In a conversation recorded on Thanksgiving Day with American journalist Joe Lindsley, Maria expresses her gratitude to the USA for its support. Speaking of her native Kharkiv region, Maria describes the rejuvenation of Ukrainian culture. She says that with great weapons and strong air defense, the world need not be governed by "emotions of fears."
War Memo from Lviv: My reply to Tucker Carlson and Col. Macgregor about Zelenskiy, Azov, Nuland
While here in wartime Ukraine, often enough under Russian attacks, I frequently receive messages from friends in the USA with clips of popular commentators spewing their views on the war. Here, I respond to Tucker Carlson and Col. Douglas MacGregor.
Weekly Report with @TVPWorld : Russian „Vodka Guided Ballistic Missiles” fail to hit Kyiv.. yet again
Yet another laughable attempt at attacking a Ukrainian city by the Ruzzian military. A swarm of Iranian-made drones launched from occupied Crimea was destroyed by AU antiaircraft batteries causing only minor damage. An estimated 32 million dollars worth of drones managed to damage a suburban cottage in the Kyiv region. Our friend Joe Lindsley tells us about the attack and we also discuss a trip of President Wolodymyr Zelenskyy to Argentina, where he attended the inauguration of president Javier Milei and also met with Hungarian president Victor Orban.

War Day 656: Milei, Zelenskiy, Orban, Biden, the GOP: What's Going On?
🇺🇦 600+ DAYS OF WAR REPORTING on Chicago's WGN Radio with host Bob Sirott and reporter Joe Lindsley, the only American reporting in Ukraine every single day until victory 🎙️ from Monday 11 December 2023
FREEDOM FIGHTERS vs FREEDOM TALKERS
Zelenskiy's DC Visit Raises Questions About the True Nature of Aid Amidst Geo-Political Dynamics Russia sent $32 million worth of missiles to Kyiv last night. They hit a cottage and put 120 people out of power for a few hours. Compare this to a year ago when much of Ukraine with without electricity and heat amid weekly barrages of Moscow missiles. Russia seems to be weaker but how long will Ukraine's window of opportunity last?
In DC Zelenskiy will press for more support but we should pay attention: Real support is not about the amount of money but rather whether the USA will provide long-range weapons needed to finish the job.
And I have a theory why some freedom-loving Americans do not understand Ukraine. They can only understand countries through powerful, charismatic leaders not through culture and people. Perhaps this is why the supposedly freedom-loving Heritage Foundation, where I once interned, is welcoming Putin lover Orban to DC.
