In his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King warned of the moderates who tell oppressed people, "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action." Do these words seem relevant to Washington's attitude toward Ukraine?
On Sunday, Ukraine managed to shoot down two significant Russian planes. If Washington would send long-range weapons, imagine what else Ukrainians could do.
This week, the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine is in DC trying to open hearts and minds. Whatever happens, Ukrainians refuse to accept some kind of fake peace or quiet freedom. They fight, they sing, they live--as we hear in today's report.

Big loss for Putin: Russian „AWACS” Beriev A-50 shot down over Sea of Azov | Rock Rachoń
On Sunday the Ukrainian Armed Forces scored a big win, shooting down a Beriev A-50 – a Russian AWACS-like surveillance, and command and control platform, over the Sea of Azov. Not only that, on the same day, the Ukrainians managed to shoot down another high value airplane – The Ilyushin Il-22M airborne command post. B
oth of these are not only extremely rare and expensive, but also crucial for Russian operations in Ukraine. Despite the deteriorating weather conditions, the Ukrainian army also managed to carry out several smaller combat operations - including the destruction of an important Russian anti-aircraft position using drones.
Regardless of some success on the battlefield, Ukraine still needs support with combat equipment from Western countries, which are still quite reserved towards the bravely fighting Ukrainians - which we are talking about today with our friend, Joe Lindsley, who has been in Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
