Radio War Day 1095: Still going.
**I was preparing to send this some 16 hours ago when suddenly my building shook as an Iranian drone careened nearby. I forgot to hit send.**
Someday perhaps the crazy events of these past weeks that I have witnessed in Kyiv will be in a book or film.
There are intense times. But the first and most important thing to note: Despite media stories of “panic in Kyiv,” I see only calm and focus.
I spoke with a retired American general whose name rhymes with “betray us” at Kyiv’s BraveOne tech conference: “This is the greatest event I have ever attended.”
I agreed: and I know that if people close to Trump and Elon somewhere were at such an event they would say, This is the country that we must support, because they will make us better!”

Joseph - I am a WGN listener and miss hearing from you. I wanted you to know that the shameful display of arrogance, vitriol and bullying that President Zelensky was subjected to is NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF AMERICA. I would contact him directly with this but cannot figure out how to simply send him a note, so I thought to reach out to you.
Many of us could not be more disgusted with today's "event" and hope that Ukraine and the US can still somehow come to an agreement to secure Ukraine's future. We are reaching out to our Congressmen and Senators, but all are so cowed by Trump it is difficult to see the way forward. But we will not give up.
Please stay safe and know that Trump and Vance are not speaking for all of us. Keep fighting.
