Hello from Lviv. There’s a flood of misinformation circulating about Ukraine. The key idea: Burisma is a Russian firm, not Ukrainian. And: Join us if you wish in raising $5,000 for an SUV for Ukrainian soldiers working on the counter-offensive at frontlines, which are moving daily. Details below.

In Ukraine, Roads Are Clogged with People Racing to Help Rather Than Fleeing the Floods
So many volunteers have raced to help victims of the Russian-induced flood that there were traffic jams on the way to Kherson. Meanwhile, amid dithering about whether Russia really did blow up the Ukrainian dam under Russian control, the Ukrainian ambassador to the USA reminds the world of fake news from the New York Times in 1932-33, when reporter Walter Durante won a Pulitzer Prize for stories that hid the truth about the Stalin-created famine of Ukrainians.
FROM POLAND’S TVP WORLD:
UA offensive is gaining ground - only a matter of time before the Russian defences collapse
Plus: Burisma is a corrupt Russian firm that the Ukrainian people sent fleeing from their country in 2014; only after that did Burisma hire Joe Biden’s son. So, dear media and politicians, please stop saying it’s a Ukrainian company.
And: We are raising money to get an SUV to Ukrainian soldier Vlad and his recon unit. See below how you can join the fight, as Ukraine makes a major push for victory.
On Monday's episode of "Rock Rachon" we talk about the Ukrainian Army offensive that is evicting the Russians from the lands they have appropriated. According to our guest, Thomas C. Theiner, a former artilleryman of the Italian army, the Russians have almost 70% of their soldiers engaged in active combat, while the Ukrainians use only 10% of their forces in their maneuver warfare offensive. Without another mobilization, the Russians will not be able to stop the Ukrainians.
We talk to Joe Lindsley about „Ukrainian corruption”, the myths of which, fuelled by Russian online trolls, do a lot of damage to organizations that support the defence of Ukraine. According to the American journalist living in Ukraine since 2020, a deeper look at the case shows that most of this corruption has its roots not in Ukraine... but in Russia.
An SUV for Vlad and Team:
Thanks to our friends at the Deep Inspire Foundation, a Lviv IT company turned into victory charity, we have a request here from a specific soldier. In nearly 16 months of full-scale war, Ukrainians and foreigners here have realized it is most effective to send donated trucks to the custody of a particular soldier rather than to bureaucrats.
Ukraine’s fight is the effort of many individuals every day pushing back against the Russians. While taxpayers and governments from around the free world send high-level weapons, smaller necessities such as first-aid kits and SUVs, so frequently destroyed, are given by generous people around the world.
We want to raise $5,000 for an off-road vehicle for reconnaissance. This will go to a Ukrainian soldier named Vlad 27 years old. Until 2018, he was studying programming and had his own life plan—conscripted.
Vlad went from being a mechanic-driver to commanding a tank platoon and became a sought-after specialist in various reconnaissance units.
Now he's in a new special reconnaissance unit, and they reeeally need an suv - to be mobile, "get stuck in the mud" with recon and rescue missions, and come back in one piece.
We are looking to raise $5000 for the vehicle.
We welcome U.S. tax-deductible donations here thanks to our partners at the U.S.-based Ukrainian Freedom Fund. Please designate your gift for “Vlad.”
Previously: Why The New York Times is Wrong About Ukraine
We start with pre-invasion music from Ukrainian band @ANTYTILA , with a music video filmed in the amazing Oleshky Sands, an area now occupied by Russia and threatened by the encroaching floodwaters from the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam. "Just little people, such a plot," says Antytila--and that's indeed how people feel in the face of the flood of water and of misinformation ..
War Day 468: Russia's History of Dam Destruction vs Ukraine's Baseline of Bravery
Through the night, Russia sent a confusing array of missiles and drones throughout Ukraine, often changing course. And at around 3am, the massive Nova Kakhovka dam began to collapse partially, initiating a massive flood. The Russians have a history of harming Ukrainians both by destroying and by building dams. Here's the story ...
