Sending from Kharkiv, under air-alarm …
THE BIRDS OF FREEDOM—How Drones Stop Tyranny
I post this from the bold, elegant Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, just 30 ominous miles from Mordor aka Russia. But recently, on a two-day retreat with friends in Ukraine’s Carpathian mountains, a refuge from Russian bombs, I recorded this video with my friend Neivanmade , great Ukrainian artist. We are helping our friend Max Burtsev in Kharkiv to purchase a powerful strike drone for the 92d brigade that defends Kharkiv and Bakhmut.
Max’s team made a video comparing this drone to a falcon, and incredibly, as Neivanmade and I made the video promo for the drone, a falcon flew above in the Carpathian mountains. In the Ukrainian language, this type of falcon is called the “wind-fighter”: soaring against the odds.
That’s what we are all doing. Whoever donates the most for this drone will receive the Neivanmade print visible in the last slide.
This is the greatest battle for freedom and dignity of our times. We welcome all support here.
As Max wrote:
“I see you.
Each of you.
At night.
In armor.
Wherever you are.
I see you.
And you don’t see me.
Because these are my velds. Forests. Rivers.
This is my land.
For you I am the predator.
And you are my prey.”
Together for victory, especially in these dark nights before dawn.
War Day 539: Night of Terror As Russia Sends Iranian Drones to Europe's Danube River
KYIV—Failing to take Ukraine, Russia is now seeking to destroy places it once thought it could plunder. Through the night, Moscow sent Iranian-made Shaheed--or "martyr"--drones to the Danube River delta, just yards away from Nato- and EU-member Romania. The Muscovites destroyed grain warehouses.
