War Day 754: Moscow Keeps Destroying But Ukrainians Are Already Rebuilding
🇺🇦 Every Day Until Victory on Chicago’s WGN Radio with Bob Sirott (Wendy Snyder): Joe Lindsley reports every single weekday 10 minutes from Ukraine 🎙️ Monday 18 March 2024
KHARKIV—Speaking with Chris Cuomo, Tucker Carlson praised Moscow's architecture as a reflection of the country's soul. But that same Moscow is destroying beautiful buildings and lives in Ukraine.
And still, as I see here in Kharkiv, a vibrnat, but oft-attacked Ukrainian city just 30 miles from Russia, the Ukrainians keep on, rebuilding and living, making victory into a habit of being.
He Once Defeated Roger Federer at Wimbledon. Lately He's Been Fighting Russian Invaders.
After a career as an elite tennis champ, Sergiy Stakhovksy had a pleasant life growing grapes and making highly-rated wine in Ukraine's sunny Zakarpattia region. Then Russia invaded and he returned to a new type of elite athleticism as a special forces soldier.
He shares his story with American journalist Joe Lindsley, host of Ukrainska Pravda / Ukrainian Truth's Land of the Free podcast.

🇺🇦 Every Day Until Victory on Chicago’s WGN Radio with Bob Sirott: Joe Lindsley reports every single weekday 10 minutes from Ukraine 🎙️ Wednesday 13 March 2024
Wendy Snyder, filling in for Bob Sirott on 720 WGN, spoke with Joseph Lindsley, who has been in Ukraine since the start of the war, highlighted recent developments, including "free Russia" incursions into Russia, the downing of a Russian cargo plane, and attacks on Russian oil refineries.
STRONG STORIES
The Real Headline: Russia’s Winter Offensive Failed
Last winter in Ukraine was characterized by severe living conditions resembling the Middle Ages due to widespread lack of heat and hot water.
Elevators had emergency kits as it was common for people to get stuck during power outages. This situation was a result of Russia's failed winter offensive, which is rarely discussed now.
Despite the harsh winter conditions and Russian aggression, Ukrainian resolve remained strong, supported by US aid. Russia's second annual winter offensive has also failed, showcasing Ukraine's resilience and should be highlighted as a significant success story.
