War Day 326: How Russia Shifts the Narrative to Hide Its Weakness
After more than six months of trying to take Bakhmut, Russia and its private mercenary org, the Wagner Group, have shifted focus to Soledar, a tiny place, 10,000 people before the war, simply so Moscow can claim some big victory.
All of this is designed to obscure Russia’s inability to defeat Bakhmut, or Ukraine in general.
Now is the time to shrug off the Russian propaganda and to push the Ukrainian advantage, as even a few sometimes-timid Western leaders are saying.

UPDATE: As Ukrainians continue to hold Bakhmut, Russia on Saturday—Old New Years here in Ukraine—sent missiles all over Ukraine, including to a apartment building in Dnipro, a strike that killed at least 28 people including children.
