'This is the Realest Thing I've Ever Done in My Life'
Videos, stories, news from the edge of the free world
REAL STORIES IN REAL WAR-TIME from our team throughout Ukraine, at the edge of the free world.
It’s Monday evening in Lviv. So far throughout much of Ukraine the skies have been quiet. I appreciated the Thanksgiving break, from air-alarms and with great hospitality here in Ukraine. As always after days of calm, there’s a feeling of something wicked this way comes. Meanwhile, in the past days I’ve heard news of several friends who have been seriously injured, including one who lost his leg. The atrocities continue.
Meanwhile, we see people in Iran and in China struggling like the Ukrainians did in 2014 against tyrannical regimes. The Ukrainians achieved freedom and democracy for these past eight years but now the evil returns.
We must remember, as a Ukrainian friend said and as statesmen such as Churchill knew, “Unpunished evil grows.”
