Interview with a Kharkiv Civic Leader: “We want to live free, not as slaves”
KHARKIV, Ukraine’s second largest city, was before the war a city of start-ups, universities, high culture, parks, and cool cafés. Since the first moments of the 24 February invasion, the Russians have shelled this city every day and much of it is in ruins.
Ukraine Freedom News's Joe Lindsley, American journalist, speaks with Ihor Balaka, deputy head of Kharkiv’s European Business Association, an interviewer in the Press Club Kharkiv, a real estate dealer, and a civic leader in Ukraine's second-biggest city, 20 miles from Russia. Ihor is regularly traveling across the country to bring supplies to his city, where it is now difficult to find basic food.

UKRAINE: The Russians fired a missile at the Kramatorsk railway station in the Donetsk region, where people were waiting to be evacuated. At least 39 people including women and children have been killed. «Russian non-humans do not abandon their methods. Without the strength and courage to oppose us on the battlefield, they are cynically destroying the civilian population. This is an evil that has no borders. And if it is not punished, it will never stop,» – Zelensky said.
WORLD: The UN General Assembly supported the resolution on the suspension of the Russian Federation’s membership in the UN Human Rights Council.
Donetsk region
The Russian occupiers are aggravating the situation by pushing in the areas of Vuhledar, Marinka, Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Toretsk and Ocheretin. Yesterday – helicopter strikes on Vugledar, Slovyansk (HA55 missile). As a result, more than 10 houses were damaged ….
