War Day 755: Russians Are Dropping Chemicals from Drones
🇺🇦 Every Day Until Victory on Chicago’s WGN Radio with Bob Sirott (Wendy Snyder): Joe Lindsley reports every single weekday 10 minutes from Ukraine 🎙️ Tuesaday 19 March 2024
KHARKIV—As we spoke today, I was monitoring reports of Russian missiles the way others monitor traffic.
Meanwhile, you want to help Ukraine, one of the best things you can do is get drone-jammers to defenders. Like something out of Star Wars, they create a shield of protection for front-line defenders, medics, and more.
Tucker Carlson Says Moscow Makes Beautiful Architecture. Well, look at this...
ZYUM, UKRAINE—"Architecture is the purest expression of the society that produced it": Tucker Carlson lauds Moscow's buildings in talk with Chris Cuomo .
Dear Tucker: What about all the architecture and lives Moscow is destroying in Ukraine? What sort of society does that express?
I ask Tucker this question from the Russian-created architectural ruins of Izium, Ukraine.
Macron's Gambit and the strange fate of EU's promises of ammo for Ukraine
Putler's henchmen are still dropping bombs on Ukrainian towns and villages, murdering women, children and the elderly. At the same time, Western politicians promise a lot but deliver fairly little when it comes to supporting the heroically defending Ukraine. Last week we learned about the EU's plan to strengthen the European defense industry so that it can produce the amount of ammunition Ukraine needs to repel Russian aggression. Germany is to receive the most funds from this plan, which is puzzling because so far it has caused Ukraine the most trouble with the transfer of weapons and ammunition. Late last month, French President Emmanuel Macron was reprimanded for suggesting that Europe should become more involved in Ukraine's effort, not excluding the use of peacekeeping forces. Despite the resistance in Europe, the French president maintains his position - is it just a pose or an actual will to fight Putin's tyranny? We talk about these things with our regular guest, journalist Joe Lindsley

After a career as an elite tennis champ, Sergiy Stakhovksy had a pleasant life growing grapes and making highly-rated wine in Ukraine's sunny Zakarpattia region. Then Russia invaded and he returned to a new type of elite athleticism as a special forces soldier.

STRONG STORIES
The Real Headline: Russia’s Winter Offensive Failed
Last winter in Ukraine was characterized by severe living conditions resembling the Middle Ages due to widespread lack of heat and hot water.
Elevators had emergency kits as it was common for people to get stuck during power outages. This situation was a result of Russia's failed winter offensive, which is rarely discussed now.
Despite the harsh winter conditions and Russian aggression, Ukrainian resolve remained strong, supported by US aid. Russia's second annual winter offensive has also failed, showcasing Ukraine's resilience and should be highlighted as a significant success story.
