“For all its propensity to violence, Russia has made decisive contributions to the global equilibrium,” says 99-year-old former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, calling for Ukraine to negotiate with Russia.
Kissinger’s mentality is a fear of freedom masquerading as globalist wisdom. He’s the same guy who helped America choose to support tyrannical Beijing instead of free Taiwan in the 1970s.
Jordan Peterson says the same thing as Kissinger: Russia is too scary, we can’t say no to Russia.
But Kissinger and Peterson don’t know the Ukrainians, who have an identity that gives meaning, freedom, and happiness. That is a powerful force. It’s exactly the sort of force that Peterson usually praises.
This is a fight between the victory mentality (Ukraine and the free world, the people who know how to create) and the victim mentality (Russia and small-minded, greedy tyrants who can only take, plunder, destroy).
